Painting Space. If you want a picture of a landscape people have said, 'take a picture.' A single snapshot cannot capture the enormity of a landscape. Some of my murals use as many as 30 or 40 photographs cobbled together in photoshop to create a large format picture. I call it "painting space". The volume of space that the artist eye sees and puts down on canvas.
The picture below is in the process of being built from single snap shots into a large format image that is similar in size to what I would paint. The squares at the edges show where individual photos tie into the whole picture.
