Below, on the left are pastel drawings.  To the right of each is a photograph of the site where the picture was made.  
 
     
This is the most amazing tree in the various gardens of Golden Gate Park.  The blossoms and leaves pop at the same time and the leaves are orange which gives the tree a glow like no other in the park.  I call it the "Fire Tree"

 

  These two trees are very interesting.  The one on the right wakes up very early in the spring.  When it's leaves come out, the other goes into blossom.  In the fall, the one on the right goes dormant while the one on the left retains its leaves for a good month.
