| There are many levels to the
archetypal realms. Many times we find ourselves caught up in the cares and concerns of the everyday world. In order to make a connection to the higher realms we have to quiet the mind and emotion. Meditation and prayer help to open the mind to perceptions of more subtle realms. I have a few practices that I like to use when I am overstressed. Perhaps they will be of use to you. Meditations has a number of destress techniques which you might find useful.

While painting these pictures I was in a state of meditation on a particular feeling tone or, invoking a High Celestial in prayer. That focus of attention while painting imbues the picture with the meditative connection. The stronger my connection, the more effective the communication of the feeling tone into the work. This is similar to the Sufi practice of Taweed where an object is charged with prayer to carry a healing vibration for any to see and experience. | |
| One of my meditation teachers said that he did not want to give us anything to do that was too long or too hard which would keep us from doing it. He taught the 4 minute meditation.
